On December 20, 2013, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in its resolution UN 68/205 proclaimed March 3 as World Wildlife Day to raise awareness of wild animals and plants in the world.
This day draws attention to the problems of biodiversity and especially to the need to preserve and protect wild species of animals and plants that coexist not only in certain protected ecosystems but also live even in large cities near humans.
Since this day is about drawing attention to the protection of such wildlife species, we would like to tell you about a book by ecologist Svitlana Matus called Kyiv's Wild Animals. Simple and interesting", illustrated by David Levin. In this book, Ms. Matus tells simply and interestingly about wild animals living in Kyiv and how children and adults should carefully handle such animals without harming them to preserve the population of such animals for the future.
