The Center for International Cooperation and Project Implementation was among the organizers of a study tour to the city of Dolynska, Kirovohrad Oblast, which was held on November 21 for representatives of small communities from Kirovohrad, Dnipro, and Odesa oblasts, NGOs, and donors within the PARASOL project.
The Dolynska community kindly shared its experience in implementing energy-saving and energy-efficiency projects, best practices in implementing solar and wind energy projects, revitalizing buildings and structures, creating conditions for renovating sports and dance facilities for children and youth in the community, etc.
The study tour participants learned about the achievements of the Dolynska community in attracting foreign investment, namely in solar and wind energy projects, which, given the frequent military threats, will create conditions for decentralization of the community's energy supply and independence from large energy suppliers shortly.
Also during the study tour, the Major of the Dolynska community, Yevhen Zvizdovsky, told the participants about further future steps and community projects that need to attract funding and investment, including projects to attract electric public transport, attract investors to create new businesses and create new jobs in the community, projects to upgrade public transport, waste management, water supply, and sewerage.
As a result of the study tour, all communities, together with the public and donors, expressed a desire to jointly seek funding, including with the involvement of the World Bank, Japanese companies, and donors, to implement a package of projects and activities common to all communities in 2025.
The event was held within the framework of the project “Study Tour to Dolynska, Kirovohrad Oblast, within the framework of the PARASOL Project” implemented by partner organizations - Bankwatch, the Regional Center for Economic Research and Business Support Foundation, and the Center for International Cooperation and Project Implementation with the support of Bankwatch.
