The 29th Conference of the Parties (COP) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, which is held annually, will take place in three days. The presidency of the Conference alternates between the five recognized UN regions.
This year, Azerbaijan was elected as the presiding country of the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29), which will be held in Baku from November 11 to 22. Azerbaijan has extensive experience in hosting international events and has chosen the Baku Stadium as the venue for COP29.
The title of this year's COP is “COP29: Empowering Climate Action through Ambition, Implementation, and Inclusivity": Empowering Climate Action through Ambition, Implementation, and Inclusivity.) The event is expected to be attended by 80 to 100 thousand people from 190 countries.
Despite the full-scale Russian aggression, Ukraine is opening its national pavilion for the third year in a row. It is expected that the Ukrainian pavilion will host about 40 events and discussions with Ukrainian and international speakers.
