On October 13, the world celebrates the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction. Unfortunately, natural and man-made disasters, cataclysms, emergencies and their consequences for humans and the environment are part of modern life. But the ability to predict, prepare for and, most importantly, prevent such disasters is the task of disaster risk reduction at the global level.
The problem is especially acute for Ukrainians, as it is exacerbated by the full-scale invasion with active hostilities, to which the civilian population and the environment of Ukraine are very vulnerable.
