Day of Remembrance for the victims of the Chornobyl disaster

Today, on April 26, Ukraine is remembering the terrible disaster that occurred at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant 38 years ago with candles and sad memories. This day will forever be the Day of Remembrance for the victims of the Chornobyl disaster, one of the worst disasters in the history of nuclear energy.

The accident claimed the lives of hundreds of people and caused irreparable damage to the environment of Ukraine and Eastern Europe. The territory of Pripyat is still considered uninhabitable.

At the same time, thousands of people and families were displaced from the Chornobyl zone and from Zhytomyr region to Kirovohrad and Kharkiv regions.

Today, the Russian army is constantly committing international crimes against humanity and the environment when it shells nuclear power facilities, including the Zaporizhzhia NPP.

Only the active attention of the international community, pressure on the aggressor, and the inevitability of punishment can stop the irreparable damage.
