Working Group on Improving the Mechanisms for the Import and Accounting of Humanitarian Aid

The work on the development of legislation on improving the mechanisms of importation and accounting of humanitarian aid, which was created under the Ministry of Social Policy, continues.

Today, on 27.11.23, on behalf of the NGO Center for International Cooperation and Project Implementation, the candidacy of the head of the organization Olena Vusyk was submitted to the permanent members of the Working Group on Improving the Mechanisms for the Import and Accounting of Humanitarian Aid.

It is assumed that the permanent composition of the Working Group is an advisory body under the Ministry of Social Policy, which will be approved by a relevant order. The approximate number of members of the Working Group will be 31 people from among representatives of central executive bodies, MPs and civil society. The number of civil society representatives should be at least 50% of the total number of members of the Working Group, which will be approximately 16 people.

The current resonant situation is related to the adoption by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of the Resolution "Some Issues of Passage and Accounting of Humanitarian Aid under Martial Law" of September 5, 2023, No. 953, which was actually adopted by the Government without public discussion with volunteer and charitable organizations.

The NGO "Center for MSVP" officially submitted its proposals and comments to the Ministry of Social Policy by letter dated 31.10.23 No. 31/10, which were taken into account when amending the above-mentioned resolution adopted by the Government on 20.11.23 No. 1216.
