Took part in parliamentary hearings of the Japanese Parliament

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian occupier, one of the activities of the NGO Center for International Cooperation and Project Implementation has been to provide assistance and implement social and humanitarian initiatives and projects.

On February 16, 2024, Vadym Sidyachenko, Chairman of the Board of the Center, took part in parliamentary hearings of the Japanese Parliament on psychological assistance to evacuated Ukrainians during the full-scale Russian aggression in Ukraine.

He spoke as an honored guest, a representative of Ukraine. In his speech, Vadym Sidyachenko praised the Government's decision to grant asylum to all Ukrainians seeking refuge in Japan, which is unique in Japan's post-war history. At the same time, a psychologist known in Japan for her unique methodology, Ms. Ukiyo San, created the Himawari (Sunflower) Center for Mental Health Support for Evacuated Ukrainians.

Vadym Sidyachenko highly appreciated the activities of "Himawari" and invited Ms. Ukiyo San to expand her activities to provide psychological assistance to children in Ukraine, and also appealed to the parliamentarians and members of the Japanese Government present at the symposium to assist Ms. Ukiyo San in spreading her unique methodology in Ukraine.

At the same time, it was proposed that the Center for International Cooperation and Project Implementation should become a basic platform for the work of Japanese psychologists in Ukraine.
