On September 22-24, Warsaw, Poland, hosted the RCOY Eastern Europe - a youth climate conference by youth for youth, which aims to connect young activists for joint climate action in our region.
Here are the key messages of this conference:
⭐️ Young civil society representatives, including 12 people from Ukraine, actively participated in discussions and trainings with their peers on climate, energy policy, as well as green recovery and sustainability!
⭐️ Our conference brought together about 70 young people from 13 countries of the region, including young climate activists, politicians, leaders of international NGOs and others!
⭐️ Our delegates made an incredible effort to create the Regional Youth Statement (RYS), a position paper on the common demands of our generation for climate action!
The RCOY EE team has already submitted the Regional Youth Statement to the YOUNGO Global Youth Statement, which will be a key document from the UNFCCC Youth District to strengthen support for climate action at COP28 in Dubai.
