Public discussion of the National Waste Management Plan for the period up to 2033

Last week, on June 7, a meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources was held.

Several issues were discussed at this meeting, namely the discussion of public proposals to the draft National Waste Management Plan for the period up to 2033 and certain issues related to the EIA.

Ms. Yevheniia Popovych, Director of the relevant department, was invited to answer the public's questions on the draft National Waste Management Plan for the period up to 2033. Many of the public's questions concerned the development and implementation of legislation and bylaws, regulation of permitting and licensing activities, and the impact on community leaders who do not take sufficient measures to prevent waste generation or do not have separate waste collection.
