Participation in the working group on improving the system of environmental education in Ukraine

Today, on September 20, an online meeting of the subgroup of general secondary out-of-school and inclusive education of the Working Group on Improving the Environmental Education System in Ukraine of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management was held under the chairmanship of Viktor Sipeev, Assistant to the Members of the Parliament of Ukraine Yulia Ovchynnikova.

The purpose of the Working Group is to form the environmental awareness of Ukrainian citizens as an important component of the state's environmental policy by improving the legislative framework for environmental education and raising its standards.

The meeting was attended by Olena Vusyk, Head of the NGO Center for International Cooperation and Project Implementation, who took part in the discussion and provided comments on the table of proposals.

Based on the results of the work of the Working Subgroups, amendments to the current legislation will be developed to improve the legislative framework for environmental education and raise its standards. The results of the Working Group's work will be presented by the Environmental Policy Committee in October this year.
