Marth 20 Earth Day

On this day, March 20, the world celebrates Earth Day, which originated in 1970 as a response to environmental crises. At that time, public awareness of environmental pollution was growing, and people were demanding change. The history of this day is the history of the struggle for a healthy planet. The celebration of this day is another step towards realizing the problem of planet pollution and finding new methods of preserving nature and solving environmental problems.

Today, international bodies and organizations are actively cooperating to preserve our planet. There are several key areas of their activities:

1. Work towards the implementation of the Paris Climate Agreement. This agreement, concluded within the framework of the UN, aims to limit global warming. Countries are committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting adaptation to climate change.

2. Activities to implement the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The United Nations has set 17 Sustainable Development Goals, including Goal 13 - combating climate change and its consequences.

3. International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). This organization works to conserve nature and develop strategies for its protection through scientific research and resource management projects.

4. International Energy Agency (IEA). The IEA works to promote the efficient use of energy and the development of renewable energy sources.

These organizations and others produce research, develop policies, and work with governments and the public to ensure a sustainable future for our planet. Their efforts are essential to preserving nature and ensuring a livable environment for future generations.
